By rights, the Media Player should be showing in the List, when you go Start/ All Programs(at bottom of the POP-UP Page of START). Mine does, and, I run a WIN 7 32-bit OS. Media Player is a 'default' part of the OS, anyway, so it should be there. With an Icon, in the 'Quick Start' Task-bar as well.

If Windows Media Player stopped working correctly after the latest updates from Windows Update, you can verify that the updates are the problem by using System Restore. To do this:
